Bamboos

For thousands of years, diverse peoples, especially Asians, have used bamboo as a source of materials for hundreds of uses and food. Their value as an ornamental plant is increasingly appreciated. At the Garden, visitors may enjoy one of the most important collections in the country as well as a small forest of Phyllostachys aurea.
